Frederic J. Binchy is the managing partner of Binchy Law. Since qualifying in 1979, Fred has practised extensively in Public Administration Law, Commercial Law, Children’s Law, Mental Health Law, Family Law and Employment Law.
With over 38 years experience in all divisions of the court from the District Courts to the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal, Fred is a strong advocate of non-adversarial solutions wherever feasible, always working in the best interests of the client. Committed to continually developing his skill set, in 2014 Fred completed the Law Society’s Diploma in Employment Law and most recently completed a similar program in Commercial Law. Fred has been actively involved in the modernisation and computerisation of legal services for the past three decades. Having developed an IMI/Law Society training programme for “Lawyers in Business”, Fred has also implemented nine bespoke IT systems which improve the efficiency and delivery of client legal services, including joint legal service delivery platforms. Fred has managed Binchy Law since the late 1980s. Today his main focus is on legal services for Businesses & for Public Service Bodies.
