Fred has practiced extensively in Family Law for over 20 years, in particularly specializing in divorce matters and family settlements on separation. He has spent many years working with business clients, where he assisted clients with employment matters, insolvencies, examinerships and business re-structuring. He has been involved in Administration Law for public authorities including Health Boards for over 25 years, with specialist disciplines in children’s law, disabilities (wardships), employment and regulatory matters.

Since 1984 Fred evolved a particular specialty for business clients, assisting them with dedicated computer applications and legal and financial services through these systems for their businesses. More recently he has been developing internet legal services for clients through dedicated portals so the private client or the business client can get their services online from Binchy Solicitors. Fred presents regular workshops for clients keeping them updated on all areas of law applicable to their work.

On first qualifying Donald spent two years working in the financial services area, where he specialised in Re-insurance and Funds Law. Since then Donald has practised in a broad range of areas, but with particular emphasis on litigation, property and public authority work. His specialist areas include planning law and compulsory acquisitions. Donald has also had primary responsibility for undertaking the firm’s commercial work during this period, mainly involving company sales and acquisitions and commercial agreements. He also has experience in examinership and insolvency.

Finbar deals with the firm’s litigation in the District, Circuit and High Court. He practices defence litigation representing insurance companies including the Irish Public Bodies. Finbar also does a significant amount of children's law and employment law in all Courts and other forums.
